The Story Reply feature works by defining trigger keywords that once detected in a story comment will automatically send the user a DM. The auto-sent message can contain either a text reply or a button template that can contain up to 3 CTA buttons.
Triggers could be keywords such as 'Link, Pricing, Shop, More Info' or you could be creative and use emojis like 😍, ⚡️, 🍿. There's no limit on the amount of triggers you can use.

Now that you know why Story Reply automation is beneficial let’s have a look at how you can set this up on your Instagram account using LinkDM.
Step 1: Login to LinkDM or sign up for free account.
Step 2: Click on the [Automation] menu then click [Story Reply] submenu.
Step 3: In the “Message” field write a response that you want to send to your users. It can be plain text or it can contain a link to your website.
Step 4: To add a link, click on “Add Link”, insert the link in Button 1 tab. Next, give your button a name (This is the CTA, Call to Action).
Step 5: Edit the keywords that will be used as a trigger to auto send the DM when detected in the story reply. By default there will already be a few keywords like ‘Link, Shop, Buy’. You can keep or remove these as well as add more to the list
